Welcome to the start of your safari and welcome to Tanzania! You've chosen a fantastic place for your safari journey and we'll get you started with an introductory briefing before we head out to begin the trip you've been dreaming of.

The streets of Arusha are fantastic places for you to learn a little more about local life in a northern Tanzanian city. Apart from the endless fascination of life on these busy streets, there are museums, markets, and a rewarding local food scene for you to experience.

Upon Arrival

We will meet and greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for check in.

A convenient Arusha city center location is just the start at Gran Melia Arusha. Some of the rooms have fabulous views of shapely Mount Meru off in the distance, while the rooms themselves are excellent. There's an onsite restaurant, and the spa and wellness center is perfect for relaxing after a long day on the road.

Day 2 & 3

Central Serengeti National Park

It's time for you to get to know the Central Serengeti, one of the most wildlife-rich places in all of East Africa. All three big cats are commonly seen, as are many other animals, and the savannah grasslands interspersed with signature acacia trees is classic safari terrain. It can get busy, but it's a vast area where you can easily find some solitude.

Activities Day 2

After breakfast and check out, transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Central Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival you will be picked from the airstrip and taken to your camp for check in.

Afternoon

After a hot lunch, you'll explore the Central Serengeti on a guided game drive. It's a chance to see big cats, elephants and all the other animals for which the region is famous.

Full Day in Central Serengeti National Park with game drives and other activities at the camp.

It's hard to think of a better location in the Serengeti than you'll have at Serengeti Sametu Camp. It's conveniently close to the incredible wildlife of Seronera in the central Serengeti, but occupies an area alongside the Ngare Nanyuki riverbed and away from the other camps. Gorgeous safari tents face out onto the savannah grasslands: you'll see so much without even leaving camp. Enjoy also excellent meals in the dining tent, and warm personal service.

Day 4 to 6

Masai Mara National Reserve

Many travelers fall in love with the Masai Mara National Reserve at first sight, and it's really easy to do. Here you can go looking for big cats, elephant, giraffe, hippo, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and more (including black rhinos in the Mara Triangle). Birders come because more than 500 species have been recorded in the Mara. And best of all, you get to do it all across one of Kenya's best examples of classic safari terrain. The Masai Mara is a wonderful world of endless savannah grasslands, acacia woodlands and rolling hill country rising to the escarpments that line the reserve's perimeter. The Mara also lies in the heart of Maasai country.

Activity Day 4

After breakfast and check out, transfer to the local airstrip for your flight to Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your camp for check in and a hot lunch.

Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve with game drives and other activities at the camp.

After breakfast and check out, fly to Nairobi where we will drop you off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight back home.
