You've been dreaming of your safari for so long and now it's finally about to begin. You'll meet your guide who will tell you everything you need to know to get your safari started. We're as excited as you are to get your trip underway.

Nairobi could just be East Africa's most exciting city, thanks to its buzzing nightlife, well-regarded restaurant scene and excellent shopping. And it's more than just a gateway to the safari parks elsewhere in the country. Nairobi also has stellar wildlife in the Nairobi National Park and other attractions that make it worth visiting quite apart from exploring further afield.

Activity Day 1

We will meet you at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport upon arrival and transfer you to the Nairobi Serena Hotel for check in and overnight.

You'll be staying in one of our favorite Nairobi hotels, the Nairobi Serena Hotel. Many rooms here have views out over Uhuru Park and the Nairobi skyline and are elegantly decorated in a warm colonial style. A large swimming pool, gift shop, a number of bars and restaurants, and a spa center all help to make this one of the best-equipped hotels in the capital.

Day 2 & 3

Samburu National Reserve

You're in for a treat when you visit Samburu National Reserve with us. Expect glorious scenery, four of the Big Five (no rhino), hyenas, giraffes, hippos and zebras. Samburu highlights include some prized northern specialties, such as Somali ostrich, gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, beisa oryx and reticulated giraffe. And bring your binoculars: almost 400 bird species have been seen within the reserve's boundaries.

Buffalo Springs National Reserve (Day 2 & 3)

You'll love the quiet safari trails in Buffalo Springs National Reserve. It's across the Ewaso Nyiro River from the more famous Samburu National Reserve. The reserve is particularly good for elephants and leopards.

Activities Day 2

After breakfast and checkout, transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Samburu National Reserve. Upon arrival in Samburu, you will be picked up from the airstrip and transferred to the camp for check in.

Afternoon

After a hot lunch, you’ll go on a game drive led by an expert guide this afternoon in Samburu National Reserve.

All Day

Enjoy a Full Day in Samburu National Reserve with game drives and other activities as per the programme of the camp. Including Bush Meals, walking Safaris and Sundowners (weather permitting).

Day 4 to 6

Masai Mara National Reserve

Kenya has some incredible wildlife destinations, but the Masai Mara National Reserve may well be the best of them all. This classic East African landscape of savannah grasslands, rolling hills, acacia woodlands and distant escarpments is itself impressive. But it's also the backdrop to one of the densest concentrations of wildlife on the planet. The Mara is known for its big cats, and this is certainly one of the best places to see lion, leopard and cheetah. You're almost guaranteed to see elephant, giraffe, buffalo, Thomson's gazelle, hippo, wildebeest and zebra, while black rhinos are possible in the Mara Triangle. And that's just the start. The Masai Mara is home to over 500 bird species too.

After breakfast and check out you will be transferred to the local airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara National Reserve .You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to your camp for check in and a hot lunch.

Afternoon

A guided game drive is the best way to see the Masai Mara National Reserve and your guide will help you get the best from this amazing place this afternoon. Watch for big cats and elephants all across the Mara's famous savannah grasslands.

You'll be staying in a remote corner of the Masai Mara National Reserve here at Elewana Sand River Masai Mara. The camp sits alongside the Sand River, close to Kenya's border with Tanzania, and you'll enjoy sweeping views of the plains, plenty of wildlife, and stunning wood-floored safari tents. Meals here are also excellent, the service is warm and welcoming, and there's a swimming pool.

Zanzibar Island

Zanzibar Island is a fascinating place to explore. The long, beautiful beaches that hem in this tropical Indian Ocean island are a big part of its appeal. Another highlight is the atmospheric old Stone Town, a time-warped knot of winding alleys that leads past some fine historic buildings and bustling spice-laden markets. Offshore, a series of fringing reefs and coral gardens offers wonderful snorkeling and diving too.

After breakfast and check out you will be transferred to the local airstrip for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar connecting via Wilson Airport Nairobi. On arrival at Zanzibar airport, you will be met and transferred to your beach resort for check in.
